Add a DAWN® photometer to your GPC line and you'll be able to determine absolute molecular weights and sizes of unknown polymers in minutes.

Absolute macromolecular characterization with no calibration or reference standards

Know more about your molecules

The DAWN Flow photometer determines absolute molecular weights (~1,000 to > 100,000,000 daltons), root mean square (rms) molecular sizes, and shapes (rods, spheres, or random coils) of almost any polymer within minutes after your samples elute from your GPC system.

Zimm plots are now trivial

The DAWN Batch and Flow units measure and collect the scattered light intensities from several concentrations of your sample; then Wyatt Technology's AURORA software package (which runs on any PC) constructs Zlmm plots to calculate absolute molecular weights, rms radii, and second viral coefficients in a matter of seconds.

At the DAWN's heart, a multi-angle detector array surrounds the sample cell. Thousands of measurements per second provide precision and reproducibility.

No calibration or reference standards needed

Every quantity defined by light scattering is measured experimentally rather than calculated empirically or theoretically. You can spend more time analyzing and interpreting your data instead of repeating column calibration experiments.

Cost Effective

A completely configured DAWN GPC system costs less than $50,000. Contact us for a complete information package, and join the hundreds of labs that have already bought or rented a DAWN.
