Shur-Aim

Shur-Aim outperforms conventional sights: faster aiming, more precise shooting, and improved accuracy at long distances.

Shur-Aim is a set of two tiny housings (made of blued spring steel) which attach to a pistol's front and rear sights, and a set of plastic inserts that fit into the housings: beads for the front sight and semi-circles for the rear sight.
Both novices and experts can improve their shooting with Shur-Aim. The front sight bead is less than half the size of conventional front sights.
Novices do not need training to use the Shur-Aim sight system: the dot-in-the-center-of-the-circle aim point is purely instinctive.
Expert shooters will appreciate the flexlbility of changing the colors and sizes of the sights to adjust to different shooting conditions.
The wide variety of front and rear sight inserts can be clipped into position very quickly without changing the pistols' sight adjustment or aim point.

We asked vision trainer Richard Hatcher to evaluate Shur-Aim:

Dear Mr. Kiss,
Thank you for demonstrating your new gun sight modification. Your unit seems to offer a distinct advantage in increasing accuracy for marksmen both novice and professional. The concept of narrowing the aperture, by itself, seems ideal. For the modesl amount of target practice I have done I have always been aware of the limitation of he potential for lateral drift due to the size of standard sights.
However, your device adds an important extra benefit. The color contrast makes the sights even more precise. Also, the circular nature of the rear sight further reduces the vertical drift. The combinalion of reduced aperture and color contrast seem to offer a great potential for the hand gun enthusiast.
