Commercial Lending and Business Services

"There may be a dispute about which bank is "Number Two" in serving the local business community, but all surveys agree that Santa Barbara Bank & Trust is the undisputed leader by'a wide margin."

- Excerpt from Commerce, the magazine of the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce, October 1990

Commercial loans outstanding increased 16% to $207 million by the end of 1990. More area businesses choose Santa Barbara Bank & Trust as their primary financial institution than the next two leading banks combined. The reason for this is clear: our Branch Managers, Commercial Loan Officers and Business Service Representatives have an intimate knowledge of the communities they serve. They have the authority to make decisions and negotiate individual customer solutions. They provide the depth, flexibility, expertise and personal commitment necessary to serve local business best.

It's an old friend ...

The Bank has taken care of our company's financial needs more than adequately for a long, long time. Now that Sally and I have more time to travel and pursue the things we enjoy, its nice to know the Bank will always be there. I've always been impressed with the quality and maturity of the personnel at every level of operation.

Our insurance company is a local business, now in its 103rd year, and being with a local Bank isJust good business. I knew the founders well who left such a strong impact which is being carried on today.

Long ago we had deposits all over town because of the maximum limit of FDIC insurance, but no more. All of those deposits are now at Santa Barbara Bank & Trust and we don't give it a second thought. They're safe and sound.
