The range was highly regimented: Range Officers patrolled each segment of shooting booths. Loudspeakers signaled the end of a shooting session, and then everybody had to stand two feet back from the booths across a red line painted on the floor, and then a Range Officer had to stroll down each section and inspect every weapon in each booth to ensure they were unloaded and with the action locked open.
